County Renews State of Local Emergency - August 29, 2025

The Municipality of the County of Annapolis has renewed the State of Local Emergency for a second time to support management of the ongoing West Dalhousie wildfires, which continue to burn out of control.

A State of Local Emergency remains in effect for a period of seven (7) days unless renewed or terminated sooner. During this time, residents are required to follow all official instructions from emergency officials.

The Municipality continues to work closely with provincial partners, fire services, the Emergency Management Office, and local community organizations to coordinate response and support efforts.
